The HKU Bioinformatics Algorithms Research Laboratory (BAL) was established in the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hong Kong in 2012, focusing on advanced software technologies for analyzing NGS and 3GS data and supporting better healthcare and life science research. L3 Bioinformatics Limited (L3B), founded in 2014, is a spin-off company from HKU BAL.HKU BAL and L3B each have multiple openings for Software Engineers and Research Assistants, who will work in projects related to the analysis of “big” health and genomics data taking advantages of machine learning.
