The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong is the University of Chicago’s premier location in Asia.  With alumni and friend’s support, the Yuen Campus builds upon the University of Chicago’s rich tradition of ambitious research, world-class education and deep institutional collaboration throughout Asia.

The Yuen Campus has become home to hundreds of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students across the entirety of all University of Chicago Schools and Divisions.  The campus hosts dozens of academic workshops, conferences, and public lectures each year.  Since its inception in 2018, the Yuen Campus has also been a destination for faculty and students of the top-ranked Executive MBA offered by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as to professionals pursing non-degree Executive Education courses and University of Chicago undergraduate Study Abroad students.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has a strong presence on the Yuen Campus.  In addition to providing institutional support to construct The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex, the Trust has also been instrumental in renovating The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Heritage Courtyard and Interpretation Centre and creating The Hong Kong Jockey Club Program on Social Innovation which resides on the Yuen Campus.

Built on the Grade 3 heritage site at Mount Davis, the Yuen Campus in Hong Kong joins the University’s other centres in London, Delhi, Beijing, and Paris to facilitate academic collaboration and partnerships around the globe. Through these facilities, the University extends its global presence and engagement to hundreds of programs and initiatives in more than 40 countries on all seven continents.
The preservation of this site and the development of the Heritage Interpretation Center is also an important aspect of the University’s commitment to community of Hong Kong. Since its opening in 2018, the Heritage Interpretation Center has generated great public interest with an increased level in awareness and demand for access by schools, community groups and different organizations.
