China Huadian Overseas Asset Management CO LTD (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Huadian Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “CHD”). The Company was registered in Hong Kong on March 21st, 2018, with the registered capital of 50 million USD. The positioning of the Company is to be the sole overseas fund management platform and an important overseas financing platform. The Company’s business scope includes: overseas fund and accounts management, fund settlement, financing management, risk management and consulting, as well as entrusted CHD ‘s offshore bond management.

Background of the Shareholder

CHD is a stated-owned sole proprietorship power generation corporation established at the end of 2002 as the result of the national reformation in the electricity system. It is an extra-large state-owned enterprise which is supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is also one of the key enterprises directly managed by the Central Government. The major business includes power generation, heat production and supply, electricity related primary energy development such as coal and relevant technical service. The business covers 4 major sectors of power generation, coal, finance, and science and technology. By the end of 2018, CHD has the installed generation capacity of 148,000 MW, total asset of 825.7 billion yuan, with the profit of 8.2 billion yuan in year 2018 alone. It has been on the Fortune Globe 500 for 7 consecutive years.
