Monthly Salary Range: HK$18,945 – HK$31,930

Duties:  The appointee is responsible for providing daily IT system, network and end-user technical support services. He/She will support the operations of computer hardware and software, involve in the setup of IT facilities, manage computer servers and desktop PCs, maintain IT assets, prepare documentation, conduct user training, and assist in IT project development and implementation etc.  Irregular working hours may be required.

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in IT related disciplines plus at least one year relevant working experience in IT service provision and support or Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent plus at least four years relevant working experience in IT system/network management and end-user technical support.  Candidates with less experience will be considered as Computer Technician-in-training.

• Proficiency in Microsoft/Linux operating systems and SQLServer/MySQL database systems, and their operational management and system administration;

•  Experience in using open source software and tools including Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, UNIX shell scripts, and their application development methodologies etc.;

• Experience in using Microsoft Windows application systems such as SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL Server, Office, PowerShell, and their development frameworks etc.;

• Profound knowledge in Internet technology, TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN/WiFi network topologies;

•  Sound skills and techniques in system and network problem diagnosis and troubleshooting;

•   Good analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and excellence in team playing and work attitude.

Terms of appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract.  Medical and dental benefits, annual leave and the use of sports and library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School provides excellent staff development opportunities.
