Requirements:

• Professional Diploma or Higher Diploma in computer science or information technology studies, or equivalent
• 2 years' working experience in supporting MS Windows/ MS Office at both administration and programming levels
• Proficiency in SQL, JAVA and HTML5

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor the operations and advise on the performance tuning to ensure the smooth running of the media cum file server for the operations of Management System with regard to the underlying file system architecture, storage allocation, accessibility and backup operations.
2. Coordinate with users and system contractor on the data design of various ad-hoc technical and statistical reports in response to queries, and compile the respective reports
3. Assist in the data conversion of film print information form MS Access and MS Excel format to the ODBC-compliant format adopted by the system
4. Customize the webpage and desktop interfaces, including but not limited to those preset in the public workstations and tablets in the Resource Center, for the database access to be used by external users through internet or by Archive staff through cable connection to access the collection catalogue on the system
5. Advise on the future development of the information technology systems, including but not limited to the coordination tasks regarding the development and implementation of the enhancement features of the existing systems and conducting assessments on the system upgrade/revamp proposals
6. Participate in user requirements analysis and system design of the future system and attend meetings with the contractor of the captioned systems
7. Advise on the network setup of new Stores of the Archive and the revamp of the existing networks to cater for new requirements
