A world class privately owned investment solutions company is seeking Senior Procurement Mangager with financial industry experience to manage suppliers based in Japan and strategic projects for the region. This position reports to the Head of Procurement, Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage and communicate effectively with internal customers and external suppliers to deliver accurate and concise advice for effective supplier engagement and sourcing strategy.
• Sourcing and selection of suppliers though approved methods of negotiation and/or RFP's.
• Responsible for local and regional contract negotiations in relation to certain allocated categories of spend.
• Strive for synergies throughout all businesses across the region/group.
• Work to reduce cost, reduce risk and rationalize company spending. Maximize value through effective Supplier Relationship Management.
• Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future needs.
• Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market trend for assigned commodities.

Requirements

• MUST have strong experience in indirect sourcing within multi-national company within Financial Institution.
• Strong Relationship Management and communication skills able to present and influence at the highest level.
• Strong project implementation coordination and financial analysis skills preferred.
• Strong cost and risk management skills and mentality.
• Self-motivated team player, who has energy and drive, also able to motivate and get the best out of a multi-functional team.
• Capable of operating in a dynamic environment and able to balance short term business needs with the longer term requirements of our business.
• Well-developed strategic and analytical skills.
• Experience on operating within a matrix environment.
• Over 5 years of progressive sourcing/procurement experience in a service industry.
• University degree or above. Business, Procurement & Supply Chain Management or Law professional qualification / degrees preferred
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
• High level of proficiency in Japanese and English (verbal and written).
