PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To support the departmental Design Technologist, assisting in the technical development of new styles and applications of all quality standards relating to fit and construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical supports to the Design Technologist during product development and pre-production activities.
• Develop product technical specification packages to communicate requirements for fit and construction; assist in technical pre-production works relating to fit and construction.
• Participate in pre-production meetings with Design Technologist on bulk styles to ensure correct interpretation of quality standards prior to bulk productions.
• Participate in initiating technical developments in fit and construction to identify possible first to market opportunities.
• Act as a positive, supportive partner, consistently demonstrating our shared values and high standards.
• Communicate technical specification requirements to vendors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical education in garment fit and construction to degree level or equivalent work experience.
• Practical experience in pattern-making and garment construction for bulk production.
• 1-2 years of technical experience, gained while working within either the clothing industry, or in a retail environment.
• An understanding and preferably 1-2 years experience using computer specification package (PDM).
