Our client is a successful consumer and entertainment company who are looking for a highly strategic PR expert who has strong experience in PR within the APAC region. This is a high growth company that natures and builds people and careers with true opportunity to move within the business across multiple disciplines. There is also opportunity to grow with the company as it extends into different regions.

This is a key role for the company and a role that is highly strategic with multi- product exposure which makes this role unusual and challenging. This role will leverage existing networks and will require a strong leader to direct and build the strategy and vision.

This is an opportunity for someone who maybe looking to change industries within PR and Communications or who is looking for a role where they can really have a true strategic role.

Key responsibilities: 

• Create the PR and Communications strategies for Asia.
• Oversee and manage PR communication and activities from event management to PR messaging to media opportunities.
• Manage and handle difficult crisis communications scenarios with great care and professionalism supporting the business with communicating to the media.
• Develop strong Asia focused international media relationships and with locally.
• Support and mentor the team to grow a powerful unit; building on the existing talent.

Skills and experience:

• Strong PR and communications experience from an in house or agency background.
• A degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a similar qualification.
•  Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire influence and motivate.
