Duties and Responsibilties

Dealogic is in need of a copy editor to work with various teams to ensure high quality communications and collateral. This will be located in Hong Kong and report to the Head of Content, Marketing.

• Ensuring excellent communications

The copy editor will proofread and edit all communications (articles, collateral, email, powerpoint, memos etc) and ensure grammar, spelling, and punctuation are correct; the style and format adhere to Dealogic guidelines; and the item itself is in concise English, ie, easy to understand with a simple flow and a clear tone.

• Checking facts and figures

The copy editor will ensure any facts, figures, charts, etc, in any communications are accurate.

• Setting the style standard

The copy editor will help the Head of Content create a “communications guide” for the company that outlines all rules and policies the company should adhere to.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (literature, writing, or something similar preferred)
• Excellent written English, including perfect spelling and grammar
• The ability to structure logical arguments and match audience with tone and style
• A meticulous approach to any work and an eye for detail
• The ability to produce high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent concentration skills
• Good judgment of when to apply rules and when to break them
• The ability to maintain an author’s voice while editing a document
• Confidence to stand ground and/or push back with authors
