Job Description

Grana.com is a newly funded fashion internet start-up based and operated from Hong Kong. Our mission is to provide the highest quality clothes at the lowest possible price and have as much fun as we possibly can while doing it.
 
We sell the essentials made with the best fabrics from around the world. Peruvian Pima cotton t-shirts, Japanese denim jeans, Chinese silk shirts, Mongolian cashmere sweaters, French poplin shirts and more.

We are looking for a Data Science Director to join our marketing team. In this role, you are the driving force in supporting a data driven and curious culture. You will support all the teams in creating actionable insights to make Grana the most loved consumer brand in the world.
 
 
Job Description
 
  • Implementation of a scalable approach to measuring digital performance and customer behavior
  • Strong focus on user segmentation as well as acquisition and retention behavioral patterns through the customer’s lifecycle
  • Ability to translate consumer behavioral patterns into actionable online acquisition and retention strategies
  • Ability to make informed marketing budget allocation decisions through a data-driven approach that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Ensure scalable best practices with regards to data source identification, data collection, data analysis and reporting as well as affinity with data warehousing tools such as Amazon Redshift
  • Build data tools and/or dashboards for departments that are related to customer acquisition and retention
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing
  • Managing EDM, digital advertising, referral and data analytics team

Requirements

  • Data driven specialist with 7+ years of experience in data analytics and insights-driven strategies based on large customer data sets
  • Strong experience in or strong interest and understanding of e-commerce with hands-on exposure to a rapidly growing online customer base
  • Strong team leader and mentor with an analytical mindset that is able to put data into context for different teams inside and outside of the marketing team
  • Experienced in lean application of A/B testing and other beta testing initiatives
  • Database and/or SQL experience required with natural ability to see patterns in data
  • Experience with data reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, RJMetrics or other relevant reporting tools
