Position Description

This Associate Director level position will report directly to Director of the Company with primary responsibility of underwriting and valuing real estate investment opportunities, as well as conducting comprehensive market analysis and research.  In additional, he/she will provide support for due diligence related to potential acquisitions, as well as assist in the search of new investment opportunities.

Objectives

To conduct primary and secondary market research on behalf of the Company in order to:

• facilitate the sourcing and acquisitions of attractive property investment opportunities
  
• identify new potential areas for investment activity
• produce reports and presentations for management and marketing purposes

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in performing comprehensive real estate valuations through comp and market analysis, economic, demographic, and market research, and due diligence on investment opportunities;
• Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and closing acquisition opportunities.
• Create and/or review underwriting models for evaluation of direct investments and acquisition opportunities.
• Conducting primary and secondary research on all aspects relating to target investment areas.
• Producing market reports on regional, market and sector trends.
• Performing research studies on important infrastructure developments, demographic trends and structural shifts with specific reference to their respective impact on property investment opportunities.
• Making research based recommendations to the Directors for target cities, sectors, districts and specific property acquisitions.
• Maintaining quality information flow on market news, developments and opportunities.

Requirements 

• Bachelor degree or above from a respected university in finance, economics, real estate or related disciplines;
• Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) / qualified CFA or actively pursuing chartered status is a plus;
• Strong analytical skills with 5-8 years of experience in real estate / equity research, with exposure to Asian property markets;
• Experienced in supervising a small team;
• Ability to work with limited supervision, work well under pressure and deliver timely reports in a fast-paced;
• Willing to travel occasionally

Candidate with lesser experience will be considered as Senior Associate level position
