Our client is a leading innovator in their industrial manufacturing sector known for its progressive, inventive culture and for sitting at the tip of spear regarding innovation in their sector.  As part of a board-approved plan to increase their factory footprint by 25% and to develop new manufacturing processes to automate manual assembly steps, the company is growing its manufacturing presence in Malaysia and looking for an Operations Director to lead production and manufacturing. 

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is based in Malaysia and will act as the Head of Production for a 3,000 headcount manufacturing facility leading a diverse team.  The Operations Director will drive innovation, continuous improvement projects, daily production activities, and motivate a highly skilled workforce. The company has put in place a robust CI platform and added cutting edge technology that is shaping the future of their industry and the Operations Director will be directly involved in rolling out these exciting changes to their production processes.  Key areas to develop will be a culture of operational excellence with the workforce, improving quality and dashboard systems, retooling and reengineering productions lines, and putting in place progressive talent development programs to reduce turnover.  The company has over 15 factories, 30,000 headcount, and occupies the premium end of its market. 

Perfect for degree-qualified manufacturing professionals who excel at continuous improvement, re-engineering processes, and have a lead from the front / lead from the shop floor mentality.  Suited for professionals with around 15 to 20+ years of production experience in sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics, apparel/clothing, engineering parts, and related areas.  The company is well known for its culture of internal promotion and rotation of senior leaders across its global footprint.
