Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Group IT Division, the Software Architect (軟件架構師) should possess a strong technical background. He/she will be the team's pioneer of new technologies and leads the technology evaluation, selection and adoption. The postholder's goal is to provide a framework for the continuous development of our ERP system that will result in high quality IT solutions under collaborative, fast-paced environment. By working closely with application development teams, the postholder will see the broad picture and see the broad picture and create architectural approaches for software design to guide the developers across different business application projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with application development teams by giving technical supports on system architectural aspects
• Define, design & develop reusable core system frameworks, components & tools
• Evaluate the feasibility on the use of new technologies, methodologies & tools to seek continual improvement for existing ERP systems
• Plan, test & implement software upgrade for development tools/library used in existing systems
• Leverage common design patterns and practices across all system architectural tiers
• Provide guidance and direction to developers in following development approach & standard across multiple projects
• Perform software version control and maintain periodic compilation schedule
• Ensure that application system's service quality (i.e. performance, scalability, extensibility, etc) is achievable
• Maintain and evolve software architecture documents based on evolving system requirements, technologies & industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in computer science or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of system design, development & implementation experience
• 7+ years of solid hands on experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET (MVC), web services & MS SQL Server
• Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, Node.js, AngularJS, etc
• Experience in working with open-source web & mobile platforms using emerging technologies
• Experience with version control process (Team Foundation Server is preferred)
• Experience in an Agile development environment & iterative development process
• Previous experience in ERP system development/implementation under distributed environment is a plus
• Ability to translate business needs into high-level & general solution architecture and design
• Knowledge in software design patterns, object-oriented design and implementation techniques
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Fast learner, with passion & ability to explore and pickup new technologies
• Self-motivated, organized, detail minded, and able to put ideas into a tangible form
• Able to work independently under pressure
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of both English & Cantonese
