The role, Sourcing & Product Development Manager - Connectivity

1. Serves as the owner of the Sourcing and new Product Development function on assigned commodities:

    Connectivity products for Notebook & Tablet, e.g.

• Hubs and Adaptors
• Docking stations

2. Take up the supplier management function on related suppliers.

Responsibilities:

New Product Development

• Work with Internal peers and suppliers to design and develop new product meeting business needs;
• Lead to resolve project problems, e.g. technical / cost / schedule / resource / supplier issues;
• Define the product qualification plan, together with the Engineering team and supplier;
• Monitor the project schedule & cost and raise early alert;
• Keep track on the market / technologic trend and introduce new design concept & solution / new product to sustain business growth.

Sourcing

• Owner of supplier performance, including, On-time Delivery, Quality, Price Reduction;
• Take personal lead and timely action to correct supplier problem;
• Lead to resolve customer complaint;
• Continuously improve supplier performance to sustain business competitiveness;
• Explore opportunity with new supplier to sustain supply base competitiveness.

Requirement:

• Bachelor Degree in Electronics or IT;
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Product Development or Sourcing / Procurement function, of which at least 3 years in consumer electronic / computer industry;
• Strong technical knowledge on computer connectivity products (preferably dockings) ;
• Knowledge on the quality testing on electronics product;
• Experience on supplier management function is preferred;
• Good command in English and Mandarin communication;
• Good command in presentation skill.
