Position Summary

Account executives manage the information between organisations or individuals and the general public. They promote their clients to their intended audiences through different marketing channels and tools. Social media, digital marketing, as well as traditional and online public relations.

By generating positive news coverage, achieving product placement without payment in broadcast, print and social media, and placing spokespeople as commentators, the account executive works to proactively promote the profile of their clients.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The work of a social media account executive is likely to vary from day to day, depending on the area of expertise. PR and social media agencies often specialize in specific industry sectors, such as consumer, business-to-business (B2B), financial and healthcare.

The pace of work and the depth of detail needed may vary depending on the type of online campaigns being assigned and the deadlines it demands.

• liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media or working partners;
• relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients, online and traditional channels;
• working as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement the social media activity;
• preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings;
• researching, writing and distributing press release to targeted media;
• attending and promoting client events to the media;
• assisting with the production of client publications, such as in-house magazines or other marketing tools;
• commissioning market research;
• coordinating studio or location photography;
• undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients;

Desired Skills and Experience

• Degree or Diploma, majoring in communication, marketing, or other related Business Sciences
• 2 years experience (fresh graduates or those with less experience will be considered for the position of Account Coordinator)
• Excellent Communication Skills – oral and written Cantonese, Mandarin and English
• Time and priority management skills
• Team player
