Reporting directly to Purchasing Manager

Objective:

To manage all the purchasing activities for food supermarket business

Responsibilities:

will include but not limited to the following-

• Monitor and assist to lead the department to perform daily purchasing duties
• Establish purchasing strategy, drive branding strategy, product development with promotional plan
• Negotiate with suppliers on price, deal and term to maintain a competitive RSP and high profit margin for company
• Perform product performance evaluation, margin and cost control, prepare and analyze the budget & forecast, sales and inventory
• Source new products with new vendors and suppliers to build up effective supply management and launching new product into market

Requirements:

• Tertiary education or above, preferably in Purchasing or Business major
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in FMCG/Food retail (supermarket industry is an advantage)
• Strong supplier network and familiar with Hong Kong market is an advantage
• Knowledge in brands and product categories with market intelligence is required
• Knowledge in sales strategy and comprehensive market environment especially in food supermarket
• Good command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin with good interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation, analytical with at least 3 years in supervisory level
• Able to work under pressure, autonomously and meet tight deadlines
• High degree of maturity, self-motivated, personal ownership and responsibility
• Proficiency in Chinese word processing and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
