Job Description
As a result of expansion our client is looking for a System Administrator focusing on AS400 to join their hard-working team.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary graduation with at least 5 years related working experiences
- Solid experience in administrating and maintaining AS/400
- Develop, document and maintain procedures for system utilities such as backup/restore, performance tuning and configuration of environments as well as incremental backups as required.
- Load and test operating system and application software releases and fixes in both development/test and productions environments; load application software patches; performance and file tuning utilities.
- Mature and independent with good communication skills are desired qualities
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) is mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Setup, maintain, monitor and control network, including availability, performance and security
- Configure, maintain and monitor systems, applications and IT services, mainly in Windows and AS/400
- Perform routine IT operations, backup and archiving
- Plan, setup, configure and perform backup recovery and DR, and drilling
- Facilitate and support BCP, and drilling
- Handle and document IT incident response
- Assist in IT compliance and related audit logging and reporting, as well as documentation
- Assist in liaison with vendors and handling SLA
