Responsibilities:

• Develop a procurement delivery plan for the group - trade lanes Asia-Europe, Asia-America, and Intra-Asia andAfrica.
• Develop a sourcing strategy.
• Develop a pricing team acrossAsiaoffices
• Ensuring sourcing decisions are made per corporate policy.
• Developing and implementing proactive, best practice procurement strategies, policies, and procedures supporting ourAsiaoffices.
• Enforcing and verifying core carriers' strategy inAsia.
• Building a strong partner relationship within shipping lines and other logistic partners.
• Joint negotiations withEuropeand American Partners for global tender.
• (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with competitive, cost-effective, high quality partners/suppliers.
• Enhancing partners/carriers relationships in order to ensure optimum levels of; service, quality, value, innovation and cost objectives are met.
• Developing, mentoring and managing to targeted goals related to cost savings and sourcing activities.
• Working with templates and set out business, performance and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics & Transportation / Business Administration / Marketing & Sales or relevant field with prior experience in well established freight forwarding or shipping or logistics MNCs.
• Result driven and self-motivated Individual with a strong sense for market intelligence
• Minimum of 6~7 years' of management experience in commercial pricing with regional exposure, preferably in freight forwarding or shipping industry.
• Prior experience from established Freight Forwarding / Shipping / Logistics is advantageous.
• Prior experience of preparing and managing RFI, RFP and RFQ is required.
• Thorough understanding of shipping terms and terminology and commercial law.
• Project management experience is advantageous (optional).
• Dynamic, highly independent, meticulous, attentive to details and sensitive with numbers.
• Good analytical skills, logical approach to complex matters and ability of strategic thinking and planning.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential to cooperate with regional business units.
• Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.
• Have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
