A leading MNC in the insurance sector with a strong presence in Asia is looking for a Financial Analyst (FP&A), to be based in Hong Kong.

This individual will be a key asset in the finance department and responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and ad hoc special projects. He/ she is responsible for the delivery of impactful financial analysis and recommendations to department heads across the business, through key driver analysis and insights that are essential to optimizing decision making.

Job Description:

• Analyse current and past trends in KPIs, including all areas of revenue and expenses
• Providing monthly commentaries through highlighting of trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance
• Assist in preparation of monthly forecast reports, and annual budgeting
• Engaging in strategic initiatives through the development of financial models and analyses
• Prepare presentations to senior management
• Responsible for the monthly account reconciliations and journal entries review before month end close
• Ad hoc assignments as required, supporting departments heads with in-depth analysis 

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting / Finance with a minimum 3 - 5 years of similar experience (preferably in management accountant / analyst capacity) in an MNC environment
• Qualified Accountants or actively pursuing CPA professional designations, or equivalent
• Possess good command in English and Chinese to communicate effectively with the business
• Proficient in MS Office applications ( Excel / Access), knowledge in Oracle Finance is preferred 
• Excellent interpersonal skills which foster positive relationships and teamwork 
• Detail-minded and service-oriented 
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
