Job Description

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Ensure global learning and development programs are implemented in the region
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs regionally in line with global plans
  • Support clusters in the region with learning and development activities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather and maintain information on the regional needs for learning and development
  • Implement global initiatives on learning and development in the region
  • Design and deliver learning and development initiatives relevant to the region’s business objectives
  • Act as a consultant to support  clusters and conduct L&D activities relevant to the clusters’ business objectives
  • Be a part of the global Learning and Development counsel
  • Partner with the Regional Talent Acquisition Specialists to gather data and review internal talent and succession plans to ensure relevant learning and development is in place
  • Manage talent management processes including performance management and succession planning

Key Requirements:

  • A master degree or professional qualification within a relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Learning and Development in a regional/global context
  • Extensive experience of in-house learning needs; analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and maintenance of a wide range of blended learning & development activities
  • Experience working with tools such as MBTI, HAY group surveys, etc.
  • Proven track record of delivering business results through pragmatic learning and development activities
  • Experience working, on occasion, with external providers
  • Proactive and analytical mindset
  • Flexible and pragmatic attitude
  • Cultural understanding and accustomed to working in different countries and cultures
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong business acumen
  • Ability to work with senior leadership regarding learning and development
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence key stakeholders around learning and development matters
  • Able to travel upto 30% per year, mainly within APAC 
  • Proficient in Chinese and English
