Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, design, development, testing, support and maintenance of Derivative Trading applications for the Warrant market making team and Option trading and market making team base on Horizon trading system and also in house trading systems;
  • Building, test and deploy strategic and tactical solutions for trading strategies, monitoring tools, improving capacity, performance and efficiency of the strategies;
  • Working closely with traders for gathering user requirement and understand the business needs;
  • Work closely with business partners in sales and trading, risk management, compliance, operations and other technology teams for project implementation and deployment;
  • Develop and implement risk management system for book keeping and risk reporting;
  • Develop low latency exchange connectivity software and implement the exchange connectivity enhancements and changes;
  • Responsible for system upgrade in derivatives trading platform;
  • Provide user training and support end-users for system operation;
  • Perform such other duties from time to time be directed by superiors

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 9 years experience in system development with expert knowledge of the Equity Derivatives business and practical experience with trading products;
  • Experience in front office trading applications, order management systems, Options, Exchange Protocols, FIX protocol, etc.;
  • Strong technical background in software development;
  • Experience developing C++ applications using STL/Multi Threading/Boost for LINUX, Scripting Perl/Python etc.;
  • Database experience in MS SQL, Oracle, My SQL, etc.;
  • Experience in developing low-latency exchange connectivity software with C++ on Linux;
  • Strong leadership abilities, being able to project confidence and maintain composure in stressful situations;
  • Good problem-solving skills and creative, ability to negotiate and find conflict resolution;
  • Good team player yet also able to work independently and strong in communication;
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
