JOB DUTIES: (include, but are not limited to the following):

Review and Manage Sales

  • Working closely with specialists to check the pre-settlement list for: conditions, commissions, payment instructions, liability charges, illustration charges and Sold Below Reserves. Input any changes direct into the property system (commission overrides, owners insurance). 
  • Inputting client payment instructions
  • Running and reviewing sale reports including those for unsold charges, Sold Below Reserves and Plus value.
  • Input vendor charges in property system such as freight costs and illustration charges
  • Take on own responsibilities for the preparation, checking and Settlement of sales.
  • Make sure all deadlines are met and to chase departments if they have failed to meet their own deadlines.
  • Introductory commission input and payment processing
  • Processing of Introduction Commission Journals
  • Processing payments to clients by cheque and bank transfers.
  • Responding and acting on telephone queries from vendors or other internal/external clients.

Other responsibilities

  • Coding and entering AP supplier invoices relating to vendor charges plus getting approval from budget holders.
  • Inform Departments/Settlement Controller of any open, unsettled items 0/30/60/90 days after settlement of sale. 

Liaise with

  • Internal contacts - Specialist & Supporting Departments
  • External contacts - Sellers & Christie's Offices

REQUIREMENTS:Good knowledge of basic accounting required

  • Fluent in English and Putonghua 
  • Excellent communication skills including confident telephone manner.
  • Pro-active and flexible work attitude.
  • Excellent client service skills
