Responsibilities

• Lead a merchandising team to ensure all orders are properly followed through from sampling to production and final delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, negotiate price and timeline, prepare cost sheet and time & action calendar 
• Coach and monitor the team members to develop and retain a strong team and achieve business targets
• Manage day to day merchandising process from sourcing, product development, order allocation/strategic scheduling, supplier management, cost and budget control and coaching the team members to ensure cross-functional relationships
• Track order status to ensure quality meet with customer's requirements and on time delivery;
• Troubleshooting, provide solution to tackle the problem;
• Coordinate with quality control team to ensure product quality and deadline are met with customer’s requirements and standards
• Work/liaise independently with suppliers from China & overseas.
• Continuously source & develop new suppliers

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree holder in merchandising, fashion, textile or related discipline is preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in merchandising and solid experience in handling knit & woven garments
• Familiar with South American Market and solid merchandising experience with Retailers / Brand Owners / Department Stores is preferable
• Experience of working with social compliance factories is an added advantage
• Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development process
• Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded
• Ability to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
• Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem solving skills, able to meet deadlines
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Literate in Microsoft office programs
• China travel is required
