General Manager – Integrated Marketing and Communications Agency

This is a newly created role to lead the Hong Kong office a global, integrated communications agency. With offices across US, UK and Asia, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced PR professional to lead a reputable agency and help to further grow the business across Hong Kong. Specialists within Technology, Corporate and Healthcare sectors, this award-winning agency has a great reputation in the market and they’re looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and creative individual to help develop new business, nurture and grow talent and to strategically grow the agency.

Requirements:

• Oversees managing the operational performance of the office and the day-to-day management.
• Seeks out and develops new business opportunities within existing account/s as well as other areas of business.
• Grows and maintains his/her own influential relationships with key media and business press in direct support of the client’s business goals.
• Anticipate industry trends and interpret them for account teams in such a way as to ensure services to client are both leading edge and forward thinking.
• Ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities, identify problems and drive solutions
• Creates new leaders to sustain the agency’s growth through: attracting the right people to the agency; developing them through coaching, mentoring, modelling leadership behaviour; provides consistent, constructive feedback. Inspires others to succeed.

Requirements:

• At least 12 years’ experience in PR / Communications / Marketing agencies.
• Highly networked and respected within the Technology, Corporate and/or Healthcare industries in Hong Kong.
• Minimum of 5 years individual and team management experience, including experience developing a team
• Must have proven track record for developing new business
• Must be able to effectively persuade and lead people and teams
• Established strong relationships, high bandwidth communicator with excellent collaboration abilities.
• Patience, ability to understand and incorporate multiple points of view, ability to drive change from a benefits point of view.
• Experience of working within a Regional or International environment
• Previous experience of having P&L or budget responsibility
