Job Responsibilities:

• Develop server-side backend applications to support web service for electronic devices
• Collect data required for design of applications by reviewing documentations, conducting user interviews and analyzing existing market practices
• Produce functional and design specifications, including program specification and scope of work
• Produce proof-of-concept code to support estimation of feasibilities, expected outcome and resource requirement
• Collaborate with application developers on coding using appropriate tools to create tightly-integrated coding and applications
• Specify, code test and implement changes to existing programs
• Develop test scripts and conduct tests of application to ensure user requirements are met
• Report project progress, schedule changes and problems on a timely basis
• Act as system administrator to maintain the servers

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in web based development
• Solid experience with network programming and database design
• Familiar with web architecture and technologies (e.g. HTTP, REST, PKI)
• Familiar with RDBMS database such as MySQL, NoSQL/MongoDB
• Familiar with server programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Socket Programming)
• Experience with HTTP-based data interchange API is an advantage
• Good analytical, problem solving, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature, well-organized, self-motivated, result oriented with ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
