Job Responsibilities:

Legal risk

• Assist Legal Manager to review legal management system and defense strategies regarding major legal risks involving in the Group’s business;
• Provide high quality, pragmatic and focused legal advice on legal documents and issues arising from the ordinary course of business and ad hoc M&A projects;
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that potential legal risks be identified and appropriate actions be taken accordingly;
• Analyze legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.

Policy development

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Group Ethics and Legal Compliance policies, procedures and initiatives to the group;
• Monitor and open regulation-making processes and participate emerging compliance trends affecting the Group’s business, and advise the management on designing and improving internal control structure.

Compliance

• Continuously conduct compliance audits and examinations and report risk issues to the management;
• Update the compliance policies and procedures to ensure that each department and subsidiary follows all applicable laws and regulations;
• Conduct compliance training.

Third Parties

• Engage and manage external counsels and consultants where appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a law degree from an accredited law school and be in good standing with a common law jurisdiction (preferably HK or US);
• Minimum 5 years experience in providing high quality commercially focused legal advice either in a leading firm or major company or division of a large corporation;
• IPO experience preferred;
• Management experience is a plus;
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
