Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the transportation operations of a fleet size of 30 – 40 vehicles
• Ensure delivery promises and report where issues need addressing
• Review all information and act on root cause analysis to identify and resolve key and ongoing problems
• Collaborate with other managers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
• Set operations policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures
• Drive for continuous improvement of truck utilization, cost control and customer satisfaction level
• Liaise with transportation service contractors; monitor their performance, discipline and safety
• Supervise personnel which typically includes recommendations for hiring, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, discipline and problem resolutions
• Other and ad hoc projects assigned

Requirements:

• University graduate preferably in Industrial Engineering or Logistics Management related discipline; or having at least 7 years proven sound experience in managerial level in smooth operation of a sizeable fleet
• Self-motivation with a strong analytical mind
• Good character
• Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
