The role is located in Hong Kong, with occasional travel to the China Office.      

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall management reporting packages (including financial budget and forecast, trends and variance analysis, P&L analysis, etc) as well as providing commentary analysis to senior management for both Hong Kong & China operations.
• Ensuring the Hong Kong and China statutory accounting and financial management compliance to the local regulations.
• Assist to develop and implement the tax practice of the company, provide tax advisory based on business strategy.
• Assist in other ad-hoc projects such as operational control and process review, system implementation, etc.
• Review financial reports on a regular basis and ensure all potential risks on both business and financial aspects are identified for both HK and China operations and reported to the management.
• Work closely with other departments to drive and implement accounting processes and procedures as needed throughout the group.
• Ongoing liaison with auditors and various statutory agencies and bureaus to ensure all statutory reporting requirements are met.
• Perform financial due diligence during Merger and Acquisition exercise in Hong Kong and China.

Qualification:

• University graduate with degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Qualified accountant with ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent qualification.
• Eight years or above of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in sales distribution/ manufacturing industry is a must.
• Good exposure to accounting systems or ERP implementation system, prior experience in Dynamics AX would be an advantage.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Possess proven ability to set-up and/or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics.
• Implement stable cash flow management policies and procedures.
• Experience in managing cash flow, working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, budget, and general accounting.
• Conversant with in the local regulatory environment related to the business including any finance, accounting, and tax requirements and advise senior management the business implication of any regulatory requirement.
• Provide counsel to the Finance Director concerning local regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills; able to communicate clearly with upper management and internal contacts.
• Possess proven ability to build and lead a team.
• Ability to tackle additional duties and challenges as the firm continues to grow rapidly.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
