Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall Risk Management, Food Safety and Regulatory strategic direction complimentary to the company objectives and targets

  • Support the development of the infrastructure to support the adoption of a strong Food Safety and Quality Assurance culture within supply chain to strengthen the position of the overall business

  • Establish, implement and manage all aspects of the risk management function including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks

  • Develop and recommend improvements to both the policies & procedures and the systems to support the company in anticipation of a more complex food safety, Quality Control and more onerous legislation

  • Keep abreast of latest media coverage / government announcements of food safety related incidents / crisis, in order to provide timely advice and guidance so the business and its supply chain is well equipped to provide appropriate responses and direction in order to protect brand integrity

  • Drive a risk management culture and provide recommendations to stakeholders on risk and control issues, audit, process improvement and compliance measures

  • Provide training and technical support to management and business units on communicating the risk management framework and processes

  • Support the development, implementation and surveillance of Audits and Conformity Testing (Internal and External) procedures for the supply chain

  • Review and engages specialist third party service providers as required, to support local market programs in Supplier Audit

  • Facilitate / assemble training sessions through the Quality Academy and / or road shows to ensure consistency in 'key messaging' with Suppliers and cross functional teams

  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Food Science / Production / Quality Management or related subject

  • At least 5 years of operational (or manufacturing) including auditing / commercial / retail experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, in which 2 years must be in a managerial role / leadership role. Experience of Risk Management in Food & Beverage Manufacturer and food service will be an advantage

  • Experience in handling HACCP or ISO 22000 or SGS is must

  • Solid experience coordinating and working with legislative and government bodies that regulate Food Safety standards and requirements

  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)

  • Highly motivated, dynamic and proactive person with sound planning and organization skills

    Excellent leadership with good communication and interpersonal skills
