The Visual Merchandiser Manager will work with the Director of Visual Merchandising in the U.S. headquarter to develop, create and implement visual merchandising strategy to increase product effectiveness, brand image and sell-through. He / She will assist in developing and implementing creative and artistic concepts for in-store display. This role will be based in Hong Kong while overseeing all AW retail in APAC.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the visual look and feel of AW retail stores, display areas and shop-in-shops
• Devise, implement and execute effective merchandising strategies
• Conceptualize new and fresh store design ideas
• Formulate striking visual/merchandising strategies
• Coordinate with creative team, sales associates, and vendors to achieve and deliver the brand message to consumers
• Present effective promotional ideas to increase store profits and sell-throughs
• Move and position store merchandise/display areas, etc. to best represent brand awareness
• Maintain an organized, visually appealing store and showroom environment
• Develop floor plans and sketching designs for displays, visual appeal relative to the AWI brand
• Source materials and display elements, such as lighting, props and accessories to best represent the product and brand
• Maximize the space and layout of stores and display areas
• Visiting retail partners, (and future AW stores), to develop a better understanding of store needs to increase efficiency
• Setting up a store according to the company's latest design directives, and then photographing windows, walls and displays in order to create a visual merchandising pack to send out to other stores (to ensure consistency with the company brand and image)
• Giving feedback to head office and liaising closely with design, merchandising, sales teams, and buyers.
• Develop/implement the designs and plans created by the visual merchandising team and the creative director.
• Calculate sku capacity studies for each retail location based on layout scheme and fixturing, initial capacity and product placement diagrams
• Manage orders for VM accessories and display items for POS

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in visual merchandising or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a corporate visual merchandising role
• Experience working for luxury retailer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
• Excellent proficiency of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong retail math and number skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure and independently
