Game Animation Visual Effects 
HONG KONG - FULL TIME - TERM NEGOTIABLE CONTRACT

RESPONSIBILITIES

As we expand our portfolio of free-to-play apps, we’re looking for motivated and ambitious Animation and Visual Effects Specialists to join our rapidly growing studio. As an animator you are full of curiosity and have a blend of technical skill and artistic intuition. In close collaboration with the Creative team, you will make the game come alive. You have a direct impact on the performance of our game, and your work product will be quickly visible, tested and validated.

The Animation Specialist will have duties including:

• Character animation using Maya or Spine
• Prop and environment animation using Maya, Spine or Unity
• Motion Graphic/UI VFX and animation using Unity
• File size and device performance optimization solutions
• Exporting and integration of animation assets into Unity
• Responsibility for create a compelling and engaging experience for our players.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• At least 1+ year experience in a comparable position/industry or a strong academic track-record and portfolio
• Solid foundation in animation principles such as timing and spacing
• Strong technical background and a positive, curious attitude
• Ability write scripts for the various tools involved in the art-to-game pipeline a big plus
• Working knowledge of Unity 3D a major plus
• Working knowledge of Spine or similar packages a major plus
• Experience in game/mobile game development pipelines
• Have a passion for games and a healthy respect for our players
• An interest in and aptitude for optimizing for narrow-bandwidth or low-performance environments
• Additional skills such as 3-D (Maya, Modo or Zbrush) and VFX a plus
• Bilingual with working command of English - written and spoken. (Our office uses English as the primary language of communication but most people are bilingual.)
• Energetic, proactive with great communication skills
• Detail-oriented and efficient, high self-motivation and takes initiative

Travel required:  0% - 10%
