FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
Department of Social Work
The Department of Social Work invites applications for the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth’ Project. This Project targets youth aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youth (e.g. non-engaged youth, at-risk youth, early dropouts, etc.). Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and a tailor-made e-paltform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping our youth pursue their life and career goals.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and the research team to conduct research work relevant to achieving the objectives of the Project.
Applicants should have a PhD degree. Preference will be given to those with a track record of publications, strong research skills and relevant experience in youth work or human services, and knowledgeable of international perspectives on career and life planning. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing December 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter. Re-appointment is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
