Monthly Salary Range:

HK$18,945 – HK$31,930 (for Assistant IT Officer)

HK$13,900 – HK$15,755 (for Computer Technician-in-training)

Duties: Appointee will play a role as programmer assisting system analysts to perform application developments and supports.  He/She will have the opportunity to participate in large scale system implementations to support the School’s operations by using industry well-recognized tools and packages (such as PeopleSoft and Oracle Suite).  He/She may participate in application development using latest web and mobile technologies.  The job duties include program development, unit and integration testing, user acceptance test support, data conversion, rollout preparation and end user support.

Requirements:  A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent preferably with one year relevant working experience in IT system development; or an associate degree or higher diploma/diploma in IT disciplines or equivalent with three years relevant working experience in IT system development.  Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Java, Javascript, JQuery, HTML; good working attitude, analytical and problem-solving skills; and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Experience and knowledge on Oracle Campus solution and other academic applications will have a definite advantage. 

(Candidates with less experience will be considered as Computer Technician-in-training.)

Terms of Appointment:Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, annual leave and the use of sports and library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School provides excellent staff development opportunities.
