We’re looking for a Garment Technologist with intimates and swimwear experience to join our Quality team. This candidate is responsible for providing technical support and advice to Target Australia, merchandising team, suppliers and QA to ensure products meet our quality standards.

Job Responsibility

• Conduct sample evaluations to ensure approval samples are in accordance with company standards for fit, make, safety and legal requirements
• Review technical packages to ensure information complete, updated and accurate
• Visit factories and conduct early risk assessment on potential quality problems, advise necessary precautions prior to production commencement
• Approve products and seal samples which meet company quality standards and requirements, in line with critical path
• Provide technical advice to merchandising team, designer and buying team on product quality, sample execution and fit related issues
• Communicate with suppliers/ factories and provide technical training / support for them on all technical issues to ensure products are produced in accordance with Target Australia quality standards, safety and legal requirements with continuous performance improvement from Target Australia
• Attend live model fitting if necessary

Job Requirement

• Diploma or above in Clothing or Textile related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years solid experience in apparel technical departments/quality management
• Knowledge in pattern making, fit, garment construction, manufacturing process
• Experiences in sample evaluation, live model and mannequin fit evaluation
• Experiences in working directly with designers and buyers is an advantage
• A good team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Good aesthetic and commercial sense in making commercial judgement
• Well-versed in computer application including MS office/Excel/ PLM
• Good command in both spoken and written English & Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
• Occasional travel is required
• Immediate available is an advantage
