Job Description

Our client is an European retailer opening a Sourcing Office in Hong Kong, with a team focused on Hardgoods, Electronics, Homeware and Quality assurance (QE Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Social Compliance) They are now seeking motivated and talented candidates for the position of Household And Indoor Merchandiser for their HK office.

 

Household And Indoor Merchandiser

 

Job Duties:

  • Source the best product in terms of price, quality and delivery
  • End to end process management from sourcing to delivery in cooperation with all parties involved inside and outside the company to endure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationship with vendors for product development and production
  • Source new suppliers in compliance with commercial requirements and quality standards.
  • Negotiate prices and timeline
  • Communicate and prepare meeting with suppliers and buyers

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in Household Product in European market
  • Diploma or above in merchandising or related fields
  • 2-5 years of merchandising experience in European buying office.
  • Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills
  • Able to build strong relationship with the team and different departments across the company to achieve the best results for the customer
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem solving skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Frequent travel to china is required

 

Competencies:

  • Familiar with household products like storage items, hangers, cloth rack, ironing board, laundry humper, wicker
  • Familiar with indoor furniture and safety requirements
