Primary responsibilities:

• Report to the project leader or any other appropriate staff of the Company as authorized by the Company from time to time.
• Work closely with other assigned researchers in designing and making theoretical formulations for research and cost evaluation.
• Research and analysis technical information on raw materials and the finished products.
• Evaluate and recommend chemical and physical properties of raw materials for R&D and production batch.  
• Assess and evaluate R&D formulations and prototypes as required.
• Prepare R&D prototypes, pilot batches and participate in production scale-up operations.
• Initiate stability studies and evaluate results for specification compliance and product improvement.
• Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance to the operation and manufacturing group.
• Provide and/or review technical information on marketing as required.
• Maintain detailed documentation with accuracy for R&D projects.
• Handle any other relevant responsibilities and/or functions of the Company or the Group, in which the Company is a group member, as assigned from time to time.

Education requirement:

• BSc or above in Chemistry, Polymer Sciences, Materials Sciences or related disciplines
• Emphasis in one or more of the following areas is required:
• hydrogel formulation, production scale-up, manufacturing, rheological and analytical analysis, stability analysis, QA/QC, ISO systems, etc.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Research Associate.
