Our client is a leading manufacturer of safety components for seating. Due to business growth, they are now inviting an energetic purchasing professional to supports its operations in Asia.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will oversee and execute purchasing, sourcing and supplier management activities of both materials (metal/ plastic components) and services (production, logistics). You will source, select and evaluate suppliers based on preset parameters e.g. price, quality and delivery performance. You will negotiate price and terms, and ensure all purchasing activities are conducted in compliance with both legal and company standards. In addition, you will identify cost saving opportunities and implement process optimization to achieve possible impact in operations efficiency and profitability.

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• University degree in Engineering, Purchasing or any other related disciplines
• A minimum of 8-10 years of purchasing experience in sheet metal and plastic components, and production & logistics services
• Exposure to manufacturing/ electronics/ automotive industry will be highly sought after
• Strong negotiation skills with in-depth knowledge on purchasing policies, as well as managing complex contracts or purchase agreements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
