Job Description

The Markets & Initiatives (region) team drives the execution of the (region) 2015 strategic initiatives and supports the sales and relationship teams with product and market expertise in achieving revenue targets. The team works closely with the (region) sales, corporate affairs and consultancy teams towards an aligned set of objectives. The team is also the prime interface with the global Marketing organization. We are looking for a Corporate & Supply Chain markets manager expecting to deliver significant revenue and volume growth through the corporate adoption of SWIFT services and broader bank readiness for financial supply chain services leveraging TSU/BPO industry utility. You will define and drive the execution of our Corporate and Supply Chain initiatives. You will also develop relationships at senior levels within the industry and public authorities as well as position SWIFT as a key enabler of trade integration of (region) growing economies.

  1. Help develop market growth strategic plan by defining goto-market strategy, identify target customers and their needs, define value proposition and develop improved/new product concepts and/or business solutions requirements based on customer needs
  2. Identify potential partners such as third party vendors, consultants, industry associations and define joint goto-market plan including organizing workshops and events
  3. Manage product launch projects; coordinate all aspects of the marketing plan (product/pricing offer, promotion, development of user documentation, training of customers and commercial divisions.)
  4. Organize thought leadership workshop/events and be a market leader in driving industry adoption of new initiatives and solutions, be a spokesperson externally in industry events, media communications and write articles
  5. Liaise with other divisions/departments, customers, vendors, regulatory bodies and industry associations and make presentations.
  6. Keep abreast of trends in the industry and share information with other divisions/departments. Travel requested in the region (approx. 20%)

 

 

Responsibilities

The Markets & Initiatives, Asia Pacific, team drives the execution of the Asia Pacific 2020 strategic initiatives and supports the sales and relationship teams with product and market expertise in achieving revenue targets. The team works closely with the Asia Pacific sales, corporate affairs and consultancy teams, towards an aligned set of objectives. The team is also the prime interface with the global Marketing organization.

We are looking for an experienced individual to become part of the Securities Markets team reporting to the Head of Securities Markets. The Securities team delivers the strategy, marketing plans and pre-sales support for our interface, integration, consultancy, business intelligence and standards portfolio of products and services to enable the achievement of the region’s short and medium term revenue targets related to the securities customer segment. The securities customer segment comprises of brokers, asset managers, custodians, funds distributors, funds transfer agents, stock exchanges, central counterparties (CCP), central securities depositories (CSD) and trade repositories.

As the securities specialist, you will ensure that plans are in place to achieve revenue targets, that the plans are in-line with the global, regional and country overall strategy, that these are executed upon and that the sales teams get the ongoing support needed. The plans define our target, go to market strategy, revenue potential, communication plan, and internal training. You will also be the prime interface with the global Product Management function, ensuring that Asia Pacific plans are aligned with global product plans, and that requirements from Asia Pacific customers are taken in consideration in the global product plans. Finally, you will program manage the deployment of SWIFTs products and services at contracted domestic securities market infrastructures and their participants.

To be successful in the role, you are knowledgeable about our product and services portfolio, you are a keen team player, a confident communicator. You understand sales and marketing, and how to define and implement effective and focused plans to drive revenue generation and support our regional strategy.

Your responsibilities will be to

  • Build, execute and track a strategy that will expand our regional securities footprint whilst covering a broad range of our product and services
  • Deliver and ensure the execution of regional product plans to deliver short and medium term revenue targets;
  • Program manage SWIFT products and services deployment at contracted domestic securities market infrastructures and their participants

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least 10 years’ experience in sales/marketing in financial industry products and services in a technological firm, securities firm or securities market infrastructure.
  • Experience/knowledge with 2 or more of the following business lines: clearing and settlement, asset servicing, funds, FX
  • Ability to define and articulate marketing and sales plans
  • Ability to succeed in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and across geographies and teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills including at senior management
