Job Description

Responsibility

  • To deputize the Music Officer in the research, planning, co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation of promotion activities; and to be the project manager of large-scale projects;
  • To underpin the Music Officer in programme co-ordination and to provide logistic support to major events, and to be deputy team leader in field operations;
  • To assist in promoting Music Office Services and in public relations matters; and to be the marketing officer of major marketing campaign events and large-scale projects,
  • To liaise with other parties such as schools, community organizations, sponsors, Government departments, local and overseas artists and performing groups in relation to large-scale projects for follow-up arrangements, and to attend meetings of community organizations or arts organizations of territory-wide level as Music Office’s representative;
  • To assist the Music Officer in administrative matters related to the organization of large-scale music activities; to prepare proposals, report and to act as secretary of related meetings;
  • To co-ordinate the deployment of part-time non-professional staff in team projects; and to assist in the supervision of clerical staff in field operations; and
  • To carry out other duties as assigned.
  • Will be required to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and Public Holidays

 

Requirements

  • A diploma in music from a recognized tertiary institution, or an Associate/Licentiate/Fellowship diploma conferred by a recognized music institution through public examination, or equivalent;
  • Not less than 3 years’ post-qualification working experience in arts and/pr music administration in recognized institutions or organizations is preferred;
  • Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) is a must
  • Fluent Cantonese and good written Chinese and English; and
  • Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
  • Less experience might be considered as a junior position.
