YOUR TASKS

• Lead and actively drive the IT team as senior support specialist in IT
• Assist the global head to establish IT policies, concepts and procedures (from access management to service management)
• Lead coordinate for local technological risk and compliance topics supporting the Branch management as well as local Compliance unit
• Supervise, active and accurate handling of (daily and other regular) IT operational tasks, standard IT processes and end user support (including trading room)
• Actively driving forward and supporting of local and head-office managed projects and activities for implementation and update of processes, applications and infrastructures
• Maintaining local server room and IT infrastructures (LAN, WAN, patching etc.), including necessary documentation updates
• Following global policies as set forth by the management to support and manage user access requests (incl. physical access) as well as ensuring global and local policies are complied with
• Enhancement and professionalization of BCP/DR infrastructure and process
• Lead technical BCP/DR plans and lead coordinate local annual disaster recovery tests with respective management report

YOUR KNOW HOW

• At least five years’ experience of IT operation in a major banking environment including trading floor support as well as basic knowledge of banking business (including e.g. Transaction, AML)
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructures and business continuity planning / disaster recovery both technically and organizationally within a financial institution
• Profound understanding and active execution of operational ITIL processes (e.g. incident management, configuration management, change management) , ITIL V3 Foundation certificate an advantage
• Extensive knowledge of IT Risk and IT Management principles, knowledge of COBIT and ISO 27K an advantage (e.g. Segregation of duties, ISMS Framework, cyber security processes)
• Basic knowledge of local regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and manuals (from e.g. HKMA, SFC, HKAB, PDPC) and exposure to in-house and external audits (e.g. Independent Compliance Assessments for Technology Risk Management)  
• Exposure and understanding of German or EU Regulations issued by BaFin, ECB or EBA an advantage

• University graduates in Computer Science or related disciplines

• Excellent communications skills with the ability to manage cross-departmental and cross-cultural challenges as well as be the “rock” in crisis management
• Proactive working attitude, active tracking and driving of topics, willingness to learn, to develop and to take over new roles, take over responsibilities especially towards IT Security related matters as a mid-term perspective
• Ability to manage user expectations and guide the team to fulfill user expectations within the framework of existing IT policies and standards
• Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and out of business hours when required
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing in English, ability to communicate in German is an advantage
