Department of Social Work

The Department of Social Work invites applications for the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth’ Project. This Project targets youth aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youth (e.g. non-engaged youth, at-risk youth, early dropouts, etc.). Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and a tailor-made e-paltform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping our youth to pursue their life and career goals.

The appointee will (a) assist the Principal Investigator of the Community-Based Team to formulate, coordinate and execute the research plans to achieve the project objectives; (b) lead and manage the operational aspects of research activities related to measuring and evaluating output and outcome indicators, and demonstrating practice outcome and impact of the project at different levels; (c) work closely with other functional teams and stakeholders of the project for research implementation and quality assurance.

Applicants should have (i) a doctoral degree in social work, social policy or a related discipline; (ii) at least five years of professional experience in social work, youth work or related field; (iii) substantial professional and research experience in the area of social work, youth work or related field; and (iv) a proven record of research publications and funded project leadership and management.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
