Core Banking Manager – (FS OG)

The role:

Core Banking professionals have deep banking industry skills who serve retail and commercial banks, as well as a variety of new entrants and innovators such as online banks. 

Their insights, experience and credentials come from deep industry expertise and/or client experience which gives them deep knowledge of our banking offerings including Risk & Regulatory Management, Business Process Development and Reengineering, Core Banking Systems, and Operational Excellence. 

Individuals are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that combine processes with technology to help our clients achieve high performance. 

They analyse client business processes and target specific strategic business opportunities to help banks define and implement high performance core banking solutions with increased operational performance. 

Individuals help to develop key approaches needed to bring the client through the journey, and they also help identify issues and risks, with proposed mitigation measures to address these concerns as part of the engagement.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Providing estimating, forecasting and work planning assistance.
• Planning and managing Application Assessment and Requirements activities.
• Assisting clients in defining key capabilities/requirements that will enable their strategy.
• Defining application entrance and exit criteria.
• Being recognized as an expert on one or more application vendors/products.
• Creating project deliverable templates and standards (e.g., including process standards).
• Planning and managing program-wide application build, test, and deploy activities.

Identifying and monitoring interdependencies between various implementation activities

Experience/Knowledge Require

• First tier University  Bachelor or  Master  with major in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting      
• Experience:
  • More than 5-6 years work experience in core banking system OR
  • 2-3 years in consulting and 3-4 years in banking industry
  • Good English and Chinese Communication Skills 
  • Willing to travel within region for projects
     

Professional skill:        

• Possess business and functional skills in business diagnostics, process design / re-engineering and change management, and application design

Project management and large scale system integration delivery

 Skills Track: Banking - Experience leading a team / small project - Experience in planning and work effort estimation
