Compliance Officer (Ref No. HKTDB-019-2016)

A reputable US-based Bank inHong Kong is looking for a high-calibre and prudent Compliance Officer, reporting to the Head of Compliance. Theincumbent is responsible for:

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Compliance function of the bank in general compliance, including policies, AML, products, etc.
• Conduct bank’s general compliance review and checking;
• Make recommendations for appropriate follow up actions;
• Establish and review compliance policies and procedures;
• Provide advisory services to business units on compliance related matters;
• Review and update procedure manuals and ensure the processes are in compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Liaise with internally US Headquarter Compliance Department and externally HKMA, JFIU and US monetary authorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in Law, Banking, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines, preferably with legal and compliance background
• At least 3-5 year experience in general compliance, audit, internal control, risk management or regulatory work in foreign bank setting
• Familiarized with Compliance Guideline and procedures issued by HKMA and US monetary authorities
• Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
• Strong leadership skills and management skills
• Prompt and systematic decision-making skills with good analytical skills.
• Sensitive and react to changing regulatory requirement.
