Responsibilities:

• Identifies potential business partners by pre-screening their production capacity, capabilities and business expectations; guides new business partners through on-boarding process.
• Conducts market research and investigates product trends.
• Communicates market intelligence with supervisors, assists Director in identifying product category opportunities.
• Ensures all objectives are met, including pricing, sampling and styling details, forms and deadlines.
• Utilizes cross functional partnerships to ensure business partners follow all Target requirements and standards and meet program timing.
• Utilizes all necessary systems and tools to complete the above functions.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in textile or relevant subjects
• 3-5 years of sourcing and/or merchandising experience with hosiery and accessories items
• Technical knowledge and expertise of specific product categories sourced.  Strong ability to cost specific product categories
• Moderate level of U.S. retail industry knowledge
• Strong problem solving, negotiating, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong MS office skills and able to use all relevant tools and systems
• Ability to travel extensively within designated country and internationally
