Job Description

Job Scope:

The General Manager of Administration is responsible for the entire operation within Cambodia site.  S/He oversees site policies, procedures and operating structure and is responsible for insuring that the facilities, equipment, environmental concerns, information and processes are cared for.  S/he oversees all supporting functions to ensure the smooth running of all Cambodia production plants, including but not limited to HR/Admin, factory maintenance, COC, Purchasing, and Shipping and is responsible for coordinating all functional areas in the site to ensure teamwork and accountability.  This position is directly responsible for the culture and engagement within the site by ensuring direct reports are properly managed and developed to effectively support the site.  This position requires a strategic leader who knows how and when to be tactical.

 

Task and Responsibilities

  • Guide the team to achieve performance metrics, troubleshoot problem areas and recommend corrective /preventative action plans.
  • Ensure best practices are integrated into process improvement efforts to meet all our clients ‘requirements.
  • Manage all employees’ issues, including staffing and selection, goal setting, annual reviews, compensation planning and career development.
  • Remain engaged with IT to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
  • Maintain constant and open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, safe, operational and presentable at all times.
  • Ensure all Cambodia plants are represented well to internal clients (employees), external clients (and their customers) and the community at large.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

   

  •  Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience with at least 5 years garment manufacturing experiences stationed in Cambodia.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to deliver persuasive, confident, and articulate communication across all levels internally and externally.
  • Excellent judgment/ problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced understanding of apparel manufacturing business.
  • In-depth understanding of Cambodian culture and the handling of unions and government bodies.
  •  Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • A self-starter able to facilitate strategic discussions to move business forward.
