Keep Learning Ltd is a newly formed startup company, based in the central business district of Hong Kong. The company is looking for a General Manager to develop its service, FrenchWays, establishing itself as a French business facilitator.

Doing business in France can be challenging for many local companies: trying to expand to the French market, organizing a successful business trip in Paris, finding retail partners across France or to managing a team in the wine industry based in Bordeaux or Burgundy… All this requires solid preparation and training. FrenchWays provides solutions for corporate and individuals Clients, through consulting, teaching and training, to equip them and their teams with smooth and efficient ways to manage their relationships with French Clients, business partners and colleagues.

Keep Learning Ltd is looking for a General Manager, who will be in charge of developing FrenchWays, quickly assisted by a Cantonese speaking Business Development Analyst. The candidate will have to identify the exact business needs of our Clients and work with French teachers and business/cultural consultants to prepare and deliver quality Client training. The ideal candidate is a native French with a broad knowledge of Hong Kong local culture.

The candidate will be based in Hong Kong and may have occasional trips to France as required by Clients.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company’s business strategies for FrenchWays, the French business facilitator
• Establish, test and adjust an efficient sales strategy and prospecting tools and materials
• Create a framework to help quickly identify the exact business needs of Prospects & Clients, as well as understanding their precise issues and challenges related to France
• Build strong ties with contractual French teachers and business/cultural consultants to collaborate on preparing and delivering quality client training & solutions
• Work closely with the Business Development Analyst on growing the business in Hong Kong

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Higher University Degree, preferably in Cross Cultural Management/Communication, or Business
• Good understanding of business relationships with French Clients / Customers is essential
• At least 3-4 years of experience in an international company doing business with France - preferably in Sales / Customer service, ideally in Hong Kong
• Working experience in France would be a serious advantage
• Experience in a startup company preferred
• Network in France appreciated - member of an alumni association would be an advantage
• Open-minded, proactive, analytical, resourceful with a strong sense of responsibility skills
• Meticulous, with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proficiency of using MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent command in both spoken and written English & French
• Willing to travel overseas and work overtime
