Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Understand company logistics compliance requirements from key stakeholders group, e.g. Transportation, Distribution Operations, Trade Compliance and develop global compliance strategy including execution and enforcement mechanisms
  • Build Global Logistics Compliance roadmap/framework and work plan together with Production function, and other Logistics functions, e.g. Operations and Transportation

Implement Global Logistics Compliance Strategies through: -

  • Developing Vendor Logistics Compliance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) together with other functions on packaging, shipping, data accuracy etc.
  • Managing compliance exceptions
  • Developing Vendor Compliance KPIs and driving improvement in Vendor operational performance/excellence
  • Managing on boarding processes for new vendors and providing training to existing vendors on new logistics processes, procedures and policies
  • Working with Production functions to build vendor penalty strategy/scheme
  • Working with Transportation Manager to develop freight and port options and to drive upstream transportation cost saving
  • Leading the periodic review on vendor performance with various functions
  • Working with Distribution Operations and Finance to ‘execute enforcement’
  • Lead a team specializing on providing technical solutions on packaging – inner on protection vs. utilization and outer on carton sizing and materials with the objective of optimizing the balance of packaging costs, transportation costs, and product protection

Logistics Development and solution design

  • Understands company business priorities and requirements so as to assist the team in building logistics development pipeline
  • Develops business tools, solutions, and reporting based on knowledge, product or technology
  • Monitors industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution
  • Develops and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models
  • Works with Supply Chain IT teams in identifying system-related solutions for streamlining processes or other initiatives

Project Management

  • Support the manager in achieving milestones of various and concurrent logistics and supply chain projects
  • Keep track of the projects and provide update to the stakeholder of status and outstanding issues
  • Assist the manager to control the budget of each project by developing and maintaining any cost analysis tools
  • Document the key findings and value of delivered projects

Commercial activities and 3PL management

  • Assists the manager in running major logistics services tenders by developing analysis tools, managing project timelines, coordinating with internal stakeholders and 3PLs and conduct rate negotiation with 3PLs to manage cost impact on Tory Burch supply chain
  • Monitors industry standards, trends, or practices that could potentially impact on logistics cost structure and levels
  • Works closely with Logistics operations team in preparing reports on 3PL performance measures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder , preferably in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or other “hard science” (e.g. STEM) discipline
  • At least 8 years’ experience in supply chain management, trade compliance, international logistics, global transportation, retail distribution and/or related professional experience
  • Computer literate, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Equipping with Process Mapping Skills (MS Visio) and Project Management Skills (MS Project) is preferred
  • Experience in mastering SAP ERP reporting module is preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin is preferable; other languages potentially beneficial (e.g. Japanese)
  • Strong in analytical, communication, project management and presentation skills
  • Strong in stakeholder management and influencing skills
