Summary of the Position

This a key role in General Merchandising team, responsible for the end-to-end project management in championing on-time delivery & quality KPIs, lead the product sourcing strategy by identification of best in class vendors to provide product solutions in driving cost saving. 

Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities include:

• Response to deliver the maximum synergy saving for the company
• Negotiate the best optimum cost with suppliers to enhance the profit margin
• Drive continuous improvement in margin & synergy
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of specific NPD and any ongoing replenishment skus, to an agreed cost, quality and on time.
• Support line manager to manage key stakeholders throughout the process to deliver the required results.
• Support line manager to drive project team and suppliers for continuous improvement and efficiency in managing project/program 
• Supervise the subordinate to achieve KPIs: Synergy Benefits, margin Improvement, on time delivery, first time inspection rates, LEAN savings, and Lead time reduction and ensure subordinate’s compliance of the SOP & key control points
• Lead and drive the cross functional team in project management

Key Position Requirements:

• University Graduate or equivalent
• At least 5 years of solid experience in general merchandise - Hardware and home items
• Buying office experience with strong supplier base connection is highly preferred
• Familiar with US retail market and sound product knowledge
• Ability to build and maintain business relationships with overseas buyers 
• Strong multi-tasking skill and posses a high level of initiative and integrity under competitive environment
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skill as well as capability to interact effectively with all levels
• Key team players with solid supervisory experiences, ability to manage expectation from local and overseas team
• Advance in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent command of English and Putonghua
• Able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision
• Frequent travel may require 
• With less experience will be considered for Buyer post
