Are you a passionate retail manager who is looking for a step up as Commercial Director? Our client is actively looking for a strong Commercial Director to be based in Hong Kong. You will have to manage retail operations in the region and looking for business development opportunity to open new POS in the market. This is a new headcount position as the brand is doing very well in the country and have a solid expansion plan ahead. You will report director to Managing Director have full autonomy on the Hong Kong Retail Operation.

Responsibilities:

•          To maximize store profit and contribution for region by ensuring store KPI targets are reached and exceeded through effective management of store
•          To drive and develop all retail operations and support functions for the Hong Kong region
•          To provide Managing Director with strategic  business analysis and wholesale planning for the South East Asia region
•          To proactively manage the performance of stores in remit by leading, motivating and developing the teams, setting high standards of store presentation and service levels. Also responsible for all operations and the health and safety of the area.  
•          Monitor sales performance through on-going analysis in sales trend, average spending, traffic, conversion ratio, transaction value, customer base, sell thru and inventory level to identify ways to improve bottom line
•          Instil a culture of exceptional service within the stores and monitor product knowledge to achieve this, taking action to improve where necessary
•          Promote customer experience response rates and feedback in store
•          Ensure all Store Managers are taking constant action to improve and enhance service levels and actively promoting client sales and new client acquisition in stores
•          Ensure an “open door” policy management style and actively lead by example at all times
•          Use strong presence and leadership skills to coach the Managers and sales team to maximize sales and service opportunities by spending approximately 60% of time visiting stores and developing Managers
•          Create Personal Development Plans on time for all new Managers on boarding and ensure Managers do the same for all new hires
•          Accurately complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reporting and action plans
•          Utilize the information from Retail Operations to drive efficiency and meet cost targets in stores
•          Ensure that security guidelines for premises, cash, stock and people are followed at all times by all stores and that health and safety policies  are adhered to
•          Monitor payroll costs and manage staffing within given budgets. Take action to improve where necessary

Requirements:

•          At least 5 years+ work experience in Retail Operation Management
•          Must have luxury or premium product background
•          Proven track record of managing multiple store retail operation in China
•          Excellent command of both written and spoken English & Mandarin
•          Excellent leadership skills demonstrated with previous experience of managing relationships with senior regional executives
