Producer, Mobile Games

Hong Kong - Full Time 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day production of our game products based on overall product strategy and philosophy. Overall responsibility and accountability for high-quality and timely delivery of products. Product platforms include browser-based and mobile games.
• Take product requirements and work with teams including engineering, art and QA to create clear priorities, detailed task and asset deliverables, and timelines/schedules that have buy-in from the team and are aligned with company milestones.
• Communicate transparently with the team and maintain positive momentum.
• Ensure personnel on the project teams have clear and appropriate goals, priorities, tasks. When necessary work with them closely to problem solve and adjust priorities or triage as the project evolves; regularly report on production progress.
• Liaise with external resources when necessary and integrate them with our internal team efforts; this includes tasking, contracting, budgeting with external or remote engineering, creative and QA teams.
• Coordinate between various disciplines across our company to create cohesive understanding, problem-solve and align resources. You are a bridge builder and internal ambassador for all teams.
• Drive projects forward in a fast-pace, analytical environment where feedback is gathered quickly and used to improve the product; we like to instrument, A/B test and improve.
• Continually improve our production practices and efficiency. Opportunity to recruit, grow and manage a team of producers across various games and platforms as our company expands. 

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Gets stuff done quickly and independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a very likeable personality. Able to communicate clearly with all teams in the company including art, engineering, QA and marketing/UA; able to make presentations and lead effective and efficient meetings.
• Excellent project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and communicate shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with various project management tools and methods including agile, scrum, kanban, TDD; fast learner and not dogmatic about any one particular approach.
• Able to create time and budget estimates for multiple projects, then combine and perform resource-leveling.
• Very strong organizational skills. Able to juggle multiple projects at different stages.
• Know how to strike the balance between producing a high quality product and meeting aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment. Resourcefulness is key: evaluate and choose the best option for getting things done (e.g. adapt existing art/code or create new)
• 3+ years producer experience in mobile or web products; game production experience a plus.
• Experience developing localized products.
• Good command of English - written and spoken; knowing multiple languages a plus.
• Understand software engineering and art pipeline; no need to be an experience programmer or digital artist, but have to know how they work intimately.
• Willing to ‘fill-in’ and be hands-on when necessary to get tasks done; willing to learn new skills to assist team.
• Energetic, proactive problem solver; do not wait for problems to come up but identifies potential constraints and takes steps to de-risk early on.
• Organized, flexible, hardworking and very detail-oriented.
